What you'll do:
Team noon has some of the fastest, smartest, and hardest-working people we've encountered. With a young, aggressive, and talented team, we're driving major missions forward. In this role, you will:
1. Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee day-to-day operations of cold rooms, freezers, chillers, HVAC systems, electrical panels, and power distribution.
- Ensure temperature control systems are functioning efficiently to maintain required storage conditions.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all MEP systems.
- Monitor power consumption and optimize energy efficiency across all systems.
2. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Supervise AMC vendors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and firefighting systems.
- Review and evaluate technical service reports and ensure timely closure of all corrective actions.
- Negotiate maintenance contracts and ensure adherence to agreed SLAs and KPIs.
3. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with UAE civil defense, municipality, and authority regulations.
- Oversee fire alarm and firefighting systems testing, third-party inspections, and annual certifications.
- Maintain updated documentation for equipment, permits, and safety audits.
4. Project & Improvement Initiatives
- Support expansion and modification projects related to racking, electrical load upgrades, and cold room capacity.
- Work closely with the warehouse operation team during new installations or warehouse reconfigurations.
- Drive initiatives for operational efficiency, energy savings, and system reliability.
5. People & Process Management
- Lead a small team of technicians to ensure 24/7 coverage and quick response to breakdowns.
- Maintain strong coordination with warehouse operations, logistics, and procurement teams.
- Prepare maintenance budgets, track expenditures, and report performance metrics to management.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in warehouse or cold storage operations.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of cold rooms, HVAC, and electrical systems (including DBs, panels, and compressors).
- Cold chain / food distribution
- FMCG warehousing
- Retail or e-commerce logistics
