What you'll do:
The Facility Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and facility operations of the warehouse, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and cold room systems are functioning efficiently and safely. The role also involves supervising in-house technicians and coordinating with third-party vendors for specialized services such as fire alarm, firefighting, and pest control.
Maintenance Operations
- Supervise daily operations and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and general assets.
- Monitor cold rooms and chillers to ensure temperature stability and proper functioning.
- Respond to breakdowns promptly and ensure issues are resolved with minimal downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections and report any deviations or system abnormalities.
Preventive Maintenance
- Execute the PPM schedule as directed by the Facilities or PPM Manager.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are logged, documented, and completed as per timelines.
- Coordinate with technicians to maintain compliance with maintenance standards and safety practices.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Supervise and verify work carried out by third-party service providers for fire alarm, firefighting, pest control, and other specialized systems.
- Review service reports and ensure proper closure of findings and recommendations.
- Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts and material requirements.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with UAE Civil Defense and local authority requirements.
- Support audits, inspections, and renewals of safety certifications.
- Enforce safe work practices and conduct toolbox talks for the maintenance team.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain updated records for PPM, breakdown maintenance, and authority inspections.
- Prepare daily and weekly maintenance activity reports.
- Support the Facilities Manager in asset management and performance tracking.
What you'll need:
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 46 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 2 years in a warehouse or cold storage environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, cold rooms, and electrical systems.
- Familiar with fire alarm systems, firefighting equipment, and authority regulations.
- Hands-on experience managing technicians and coordinating maintenance works.
