About Salam Shopping Center

Salam Shopping Center is a well-established Egyptian retail and manufacturing group founded in 1983, with a long-standing reputation in the women's fashion industry.

As the business continues to grow across retail, e-commerce, and private-label production, we are seeking a highly experienced Factory Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations.

This role is mission-critical and requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and deep experience in apparel manufacturing.

Role Overview

The Factory Manager will be fully responsible for managing day-to-day factory operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality consistency, cost control, and on-time delivery.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance people management, production planning, and strategic execution, while working closely with the Owner / CEO.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations
  • Plan, manage, and oversee daily factory operations
  • Ensure production targets are met on time and within cost
  • Optimize workflow, line balancing, and production efficiency
  • Coordinate cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing processes
  • Ensure smooth handover between production stages
Quality Control
  • Implement and enforce quality standards for women's apparel
  • Reduce defects, rework, and production waste
  • Ensure consistency in sizing, stitching, and finishing
  • Handle quality issues proactively before shipment
People & Workforce Management
  • Lead, train, and supervise production teams and supervisors
  • Manage attendance, productivity, and discipline
  • Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Identify skill gaps and training needs
Cost & Resource Control
  • Control raw material usage and minimize waste
  • Monitor production costs and labor efficiency
  • Support budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Coordinate with procurement and planning teams
Planning & Coordination
  • Align production plans with business priorities
  • Coordinate with management on timelines and capacity
  • Support new designs, samples, and seasonal collections
  • Prepare production reports for the CEO
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure factory safety standards are followed
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant working conditions
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and local regulations
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Factory Manager or Production Manager in apparel manufacturing
  • Strong background in women's wear production
  • Minimum 710 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Deep understanding of garment production processes
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and professional integrity
