As a Field Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers success through resolving technical issues and driving the growth of our business.
Position Overview:
As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) at Wiseasy, you will empower and support end customers, and business partners, such as resellers, distributors, or system integrators, with the necessary resources, tools, knowledge, and skills to effectively promote, sell, and support company's products or services. The primary goal of customer enablement is to strengthen the customer and partner ecosystem and drive mutual success for both the company and its partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with potential clients and partners technical teams to understand their business requirements and challenges related to Payment App development, SDK and API Integration, product usage, etc.
- Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues faced by customers, ensuring swift resolution and minimal downtime in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to report bugs and suggest improvements.
- Document technical knowledge in the form of notes, manuals, and knowledge base content.
- Keep updated with the latest product developments and updates, ensuring customers receive up-to-date technical guidance.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during client meetings and negotiations.
- Collaborate with the product development team to provide feedback from the market, aiding in product enhancements and new feature development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in the fintech and card present transaction domain.
- Previous experience in Android POS Terminal, payment gateway, and EMV specifications will be considered an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin, with hands-on experience using Android Studio and Gradle.
- Strong technical acumen with an ability to understand and troubleshoot software issues.
- Proficient in both Swahili/French and English for effective communication, able to communicate in Mandarin will be considered as an added advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural & multi-lingual environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building customer relationships.
