Reporting to: Shift Supervisor
Job Summary: Monitor the Operation parameters of the system at local and coordinate with the CCR Operator in regard to all related activities that affect operation. Responsible for safe start up/shut down of the plant as per the Standard Operating Procedures.

Minimum Experience (Type and duration): Minimum 4 years in power / Desalination plant. ( Preferable - Experience in Middle East )
Desired certification / Job specific skill / Training: ISO9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness/working knowledge is preferred.
Required Skills
- Generic awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles
- Knowledge of identification, classification and disposal of waste
- Knowledge of Emission Monitoring
- Knowledge of environmental and health impact of chemicals being used in the plant
- Knowledge of firefighting equipment
- Knowledge of PPE and safety equipment
- Knowledge of First aid measure
- Should be well conversed with Desalination Operational activities.
- Interpersonal.
Roles & Responsibilities
1 Comply with safety rules and regulations. Be familiar with the fire equipments in his area. Follow the instructions of the Shift Supervisor and CCR Operator.
2 Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor and with other Operators in regard to all activities that affect them. Monitor all parameters and enter periodic readings on log sheets. Summarize all activities/events that took place during his shift in the logbook.
3 Inspect the area and auxiliaries during the shift to make sure that all equipment parameters are within limits. Report abnormalities to the CCR Operator and Shift Supervisor.
4 Perform equipment change over according to preset schedules. Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.
5 Coordinate with Shift supervisor for isolating and lining up the equipments and system before and after maintenance. Maintain a tidy work area and ensure clean up after maintenance work.
6 Assist in the training and familiarization of new local operators.
7 Follow standard procedures
8 Use proper PPEs and implement prescribed risk controls
9 Report deviations in Quality, Health and safety management system
10 Report emergencies and near misses
11 Ensure proper waste disposal measures
12 Perform other duties as assigned
