We are looking for Field quality Inspector own and execute the end-to-end handover of elevators and escalators from Installation to Service for KONE and/or non-KONE products, ensuring safety, quality, regulatory compliance, timely snag closure, and accurate technical reporting. The role plans and coordinates site handover activities, performs field inspections, documents findings in Elevators, Escalators & Auto walks and formal reports, and follows up corrective actions until acceptance and stable service readiness.

What will you do

Handover planning & coordination:

  • Create and maintain the handover plan in Elevators & Escalators Systems (milestones, inspections, documentation, readiness criteria).
  • Coordinate inspection dates with installation and service teams and ensure resources/tools are available.
  • Ensure required documents are collected, verified, and stored (Electrical & Mechanical Drawings, test certificates, manuals, risk assessments).

Field inspections & quality verification:

  • Perform site inspections and functional checks to confirm equipment is ready for service and meets company quality standards and local regulations.
  • Identify, record, and classify snags/non-conformities in Elevators & Escalators Systems, including root cause hypotheses and corrective actions.
  • Verify that inspections are completed on time and that identified inspection points are followed up to closure.
  • Follow NEB-SEB Handover V1.5 KMEA Procedure QMSP-8-KMEA-NEB/SEB-01

Safety & compliance:

  • Ensure safe working practices and a safe working environment during all handover activities; stop work if hazards or safety violations are detected.
  • Promote strong safety and quality culture on site and ensure compliance with global and local safety processes and customer site rules.
  • Confirm that equipment is delivered into service in a condition that supports safe operation for end-users and customers.

Reporting & documentation:

  • Complete accurate and timely back-reporting of work performed, including inspection/handover reports, test results, and acceptance records.
  • Prepare concise handover summary reports for customer and internal stakeholders: status, remaining risks, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Provide feedback on recurrent issues to support continuous improvement (methods, products, safety).
  • Review of NEB-SEB Quality Documents (QD/QD Plus)

Are you the one

  • Diploma/Technical Certificate in Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechanics, or equivalent.
  • Maintenance/Repairs/Inspection skills above average; experience in elevator/escalator industry is an asset.
  • Customer-service mindset; able to work on site and travel as required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of elevators and escalators (electro-mechanical systems, controllers, safety circuits).
  • Working understanding of applicable Elevators & Escalators Regulations/standards and company processes for installation-to-service handover.
  • Ability to follow drawings, test reports, commissioning records, and perform systematic inspections.
  • Basic IT skills (usage of main commercial software, e.g. Office etc).
  • English language skills are must.
