About The Role

The Finance Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department's operations, with a particular focus on ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger (GL). This position involves a combination of daily administrative tasks and project-based work related to reconciling and cleaning up historical financial data. The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented, and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Please note that this is a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Assist the finance team with data reconciliation processes and ensure that the cleaned data is accurate for use in financial reports (e.g., income statements, balance sheets).
  • Prepare and post reclassifications and correcting journal entries into the accounting system.
  • Help develop and update documentation of business processes and procedures related to the GL and other financial tasks.
  • Perform other administrative tasks, such as completing bank forms for KYCs and account openings, and filing documents.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly desirable.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a finance or accounts role, with practical experience in general ledger maintenance and account reconciliation.
  • Experience using accounting software and strong proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Prior experience in a finance administration or accounting role is essential.

Key Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when working with large volumes of numerical data.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective problem-solving abilities to identify and correct financial discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Understanding of general accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
