A leading international oil & gas and industrial manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead financial operations for one of its global business divisions. The company operates across energy, drilling services, engineered products, and advanced industrial solutions, supplying customers worldwide.
This is a high-impact role offering full commercial and operational finance leadership across multiple geographies, with the mandate to drive performance, margin improvement, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Commercial Finance
- Lead global financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range strategy
- Provide commercial insight on pricing, cost structures, customer profitability, and investment decisions
- Support evaluation of new business opportunities, major contracts, and M&A activities
Operational & Manufacturing Finance
- Oversee financial performance across global manufacturing and operational sites
- Drive standardisation, cost control, inventory accuracy, and asset utilisation
- Implement strong performance metrics, operational KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner closely with supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams
Reporting, Governance & Controls
- Lead divisional consolidation, management reporting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit, tax, and regulatory requirements across regions
- Strengthen internal controls and align processes with group policies and systems
- Collaborate with corporate HQ on financial governance and performance reviews
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a global finance team including plant controllers, regional controllers, and FP&A professionals
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and financial discipline
- Build strong cross-functional collaboration across operations and commercial teams
Requirements
- 15+ years experience in oil & gas, energy services, industrial manufacturing, or engineered products
- Strong background in controlling, FP&A, operational finance, and manufacturing cost structures
- Experience leading financial operations across multiple international markets
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive commercial performance
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/CMA/MBA preferred
