Position Overview:
The Finance Manager Development will support the financial management and operational oversight of all development and investment projects. The role focuses on budgeting, project accounting, cost control, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This is a hands-on role, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to support the Head of Finance in strategic and operational financial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Project Oversight:
- Support the Head of Finance in day-to-day financial operations of development projects.
- Prepare, review, and track project budgets, costs, and fund utilization.
- Maintain accurate project accounting and reporting in compliance with internal standards and IFRS.
- Implement cost control measures and ensure timely approvals and monitoring of expenditures.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting:
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, project budgets, and rolling forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and report variances with actionable recommendations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports for the Head of Finance and senior leadership.
Financial Analysis & Compliance:
- Conduct financial analysis, feasibility checks, and ROI evaluations for development projects.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards.
- Support risk management by identifying financial risks and suggesting mitigation measures.
Team Support & Collaboration:
- Guide and mentor junior finance staff as delegated by the Head of Finance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and process adherence.
- Assist in liaising with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) or MBA is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 710 years of progressive experience in finance, with exposure to project or development finance.
- Hands-on experience in budgeting, project accounting, and financial reporting.
- Experience in real estate, infrastructure, or investment projects preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
Technical Skills:
- Financial modeling, cash flow management, and cost control.
- Knowledge of IFRS, corporate taxation, and compliance frameworks.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Power BI, and ERP software.
