Finance Manager – UAE
Finance · Tax & VAT · Financial Reporting · IPO Readiness
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reports to: Chief of Staff
Level: Mid-Senior Level
Employment: Full-time
About the Role
AG&P LNG develops, owns, and operates LNG infrastructure across multiple regions, including the UAE. As the group scales and prepares for its next phase of growth — including readiness for a potential public listing — we are looking for a Finance Manager in Dubai who can do more than run the numbers.
This role owns end-to-end finance and accounting for the Dubai entity, but its real weight sits in three areas: keeping the entity fully compliant on UAE Corporate Tax and VAT, delivering clean audited financial statements on time every year, and building the reporting discipline, controls, and documentation an IPO demands. You will work closely with the global finance team, external auditors, and tax advisors, and you will be expected to raise the entity's finance function to a listed-company standard well before any listing happens.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Operations
•Manage end-to-end finance and accounting operations for the Dubai entity, including accounts payable, receivables, billing, collections, general ledger, and financial controls.
•Lead monthly financial close, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and variance analysis.
•Monitor financial performance, working capital, cash position, and key financial risks, and provide timely insights and recommendations to senior management.
•Oversee AP/AR processes end to end — accurate invoicing, timely collections, and effective vendor management.
•Develop, implement, and enhance finance policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with business objectives and global standards.
Financial Reporting & Audited Financial Statements (AFS)
•Own the preparation of annual audited financial statements under IFRS, managing the external audit from planning through sign-off with no surprises late in the process.
•Maintain complete, audit-ready financial records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation throughout the year — not just at year-end.
•Coordinate with the global finance team on consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, related-party transactions, and group reporting requirements.
•Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial service providers.
Tax & VAT Compliance
•Ensure full compliance with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT requirements, including registrations, accurate and timely filings, and payment obligations.
•Coordinate with the Federal Tax Authority, tax consultants, and advisors on filings, queries, clarifications, and audits.
•Maintain robust tax documentation and records, including transfer pricing and related-party support in line with UAE requirements.
•Monitor changes in UAE tax legislation and regulatory requirements, assess their impact on the business, and adapt processes accordingly.
IPO Readiness — a core focus of this role
•Drive the finance workstream of the group's IPO readiness programme: assess gaps between current practice and listed-company requirements, and build the plan to close them.
•Uplift the quality, speed, and consistency of financial reporting to the standard a prospectus and ongoing market disclosure will demand, including a multi-year audited track record.
•Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), with documented processes, clear ownership, and evidence that stands up to auditor and regulator scrutiny.
•Support due diligence and prospectus preparation — financial data, working capital analysis, and responses to reporting accountants, legal counsel, and bankers.
•Build and maintain a clean, well-organized data room covering financial statements, tax filings, contracts, and supporting records.
•Establish the reporting cadence and governance disciplines of a public company — faster closes, quarterly-quality reporting, and board-ready analysis — ahead of any listing.
Systems, Process & Business Support
•Support ERP/SAP implementation initiatives with finance process inputs, system requirements, and recommendations.
•Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency.
•Support business expansion through financial modelling, feasibility assessments, and commercial analysis.
•Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Work closely with the global finance team across regions to align finance processes, reporting standards, and business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•CPA, ACCA, ACA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification required.
•8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably in LNG, energy, infrastructure, or other asset-intensive industries. Big Four audit background is a strong advantage.
•Strong command of IFRS with hands-on experience preparing audited financial statements and managing external audits end to end.
•Solid working knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax and VAT — registrations, filings, FTA interactions, and supporting documentation.
•Direct exposure to an IPO, listing preparation, capital markets transaction, or comparable readiness programme (controls uplift, reporting transformation, or major due diligence) is highly valued.
•Strong experience across month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, AP/AR, and cash flow management.
•Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is highly desirable.
•Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across international teams and with external advisors.
Why This Role
Most finance manager roles maintain what already exists. This one builds. You will take a growing entity's finance function and make it listing-ready — the controls, the reporting, the tax position, the audit trail — and you will do it with the backing of a global finance team and direct visibility to senior leadership. If you have been part of an IPO before and want to lead the finance side of one, or you are an audit-trained finance professional ready to own that journey, this is that role.
