About Your Team

The Finance Manager for ALEC will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and strategy of ALEC's. Reporting to both the Group Finance Director (GFD) and the Managing Director of ALEC, the Finance Manager will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.

Your Role:

As a Finance Manager, you will:

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management

Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
  • Together with the Group Tax Manager ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensuring effective coordination with both internal and external audits and resolution of audit findings.

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational requirements and strategic initiatives.
  • Together with the Group Treasury Manager, monitor banking relationships, negotiate financing arrangements, and optimize investment opportunities.
  • Ensure the implementation of Group treasury policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks

Governance & Controls

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
  • Set clear objectives and performance targets, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to support team members growth.
  • Build a high-performing finance function capable of supporting the company's strategic objectives.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the finance team

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in a finance leadership role, preferably within the construction industry or a related sector.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving financial performance, implementing strategic initiatives, and leading successful teams

Experience

  • Proven finance leadership experience
  • Construction, contracting, or engineering industry experience preferred
  • Strong track record in financial planning, reporting, and performance improvement

Skills

  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Financial governance and compliance knowledge
