Role Overview

Working as a Finance Manager within our dynamic team in Dubai, you'll operate in an ONSITE capacity and play a critical role in driving effective financial management for our organization. This is a highly hands-on position, particularly suited for candidates who bring a diverse legal sector background and thrive in a role that blends robust accounting, compliance, and strategic business partnering across all levels of the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and the production of accurate monthly and annual management reports.
  • Direct all accounting operations, ensuring IFRS-compliant bookkeeping, reconciliations, and record-keeping.
  • Manage Corporate Tax and VAT preparation, filing, and compliance strictly according to UAE FTA guidelines, keeping all supporting documentation audit-ready.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital to ensure optimal liquidity and timely payments.
  • Partner with firm leadership to ensure transparent client billing, accurate revenue recognition, and effective collections.
  • Implement and uphold internal controls, audit procedures, and approval hierarchies to safeguard firm assets.
  • Lead cost management initiatives to improve profitability while optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the finance team, fostering accuracy, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Operations, and Legal to align financial systems and processes with organizational objectives.
  • Continuously enhance processes through the implementation and optimization of financial technologies and automation tools.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local regulations and manage all external and internal audit processes.
  • Provide strategic financial insight and scenario planning to support leadership decision-making.

Must have requirements

  • Qualified CPA (Certified Public Accountant) with at least 8 years of finance experience within the UAE legal sector or law firm environment.
  • Extensive, hands-on expertise in financial controls, accounting operations, audits, and FTA-aligned VAT compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial planning, analysis, and IFRS reporting.
  • Deep understanding of UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations and filing processes.
  • Proven track record in cash flow management and revenue assurance.
  • Leadership experience in mentoring and supervising finance teams with an emphasis on deadline-driven environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero), with ability to drive automation and systems improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills.
  • Diverse legal background and adaptability to work effectively across legal, HR, and operational functions.
