Role Summary: This job will augment the Regulatory Reporting team by taking up the current BAU tasks to manage Reporting for Shareholders, Regulatory and Statutory including closure of financial statements & engagement with the auditors.
Key Focus areas:
  • Regulatory reporting: Timely preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly/yearly regulatory reporting - Monthly New Business report, Life council, new business and monthly MIS, Life and F&A BAP Monthly/Quarterly/Annual returns, half yearly website and Newspaper Public disclosures and other ad-hoc reports requested by the regulator.
  • Financial reporting and compliance: Close monitoring of the month end closure /reconciliations/Risk control matrices/ key controls by way of demonstration of maker-checker, sign offs, reviews and analyzing the numbers and being able to explain performance
  • Statutory Audit & Certifications: Ensure smooth audits by coordination with auditors and various stakeholders of the company providing required details for reviews, resolving queries in a timely manner and obtaining clean audit report.
  • Projects: Non BAU projects as assigned over the time as per the business requirements
Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Graduate/Post Graduate with 2-3 years experience in life insurance industry working for financial reporting
  • Expert knowledge of Ms Excel and
  • Working knowledge of SQL will be added advantage
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and be able to manage key stakeholder relationships across the organization.
  • Good communication skills and Team Player.
  • Ability to take ownership and deliver within scheduled timelines
