Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain General Ledger accounts, including journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations (bank, AR, AP, intercompany).
  • Oversee fixed assets, depreciation, cost allocation, and inventory accounting.
  • Prepare Trial Balance and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and budget vs. actual analysis.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, WHT, Corporate Income Tax, Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS), and IFRS, including preparation of tax schedules and coordination with tax authorities.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and providing required documentation.
  • Operate and maintain financial data within ERP systems (SAP FI/CO, Oracle) with advanced Excel reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (Master's degree or CPA/ACCA/CMA is a plus).
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with full accounting cycle exposure.
  • Experience in multinational or industrial sectors (trading, manufacturing, construction) is preferred, with exposure to group reporting and consolidation.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS), IFRS, VAT, WHT, Corporate Tax, and cost center accounting (payroll & social insurance knowledge is a plus).
