Title: Financial Analyst-Advisory
Job Description
Responsible for supporting management and clients in investment decisions, business valuation, M&A transactions, and strategic planning.
The role combines financial modeling, FP&A and transaction support, with exposure to both buy-side and sell-side engagements across multiple industries.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in corporate finance, valuation methodologies, budgeting & forecasting, and can translate financial analysis into clear strategic insights for decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
Valuation & Transaction Advisory
- Build and review integrated financial models (3-statements, DCF, trading & transaction multiples).
- Perform business valuations for buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions.
- Support due diligence processes, including financial, commercial, and sensitivity analysis.
- Prepare investment memos, teasers, and valuation reports for internal committees and external stakeholders.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term business plans.
- Analyze actual vs budget/forecast performance and explain variances.
- Support scenario analysis and stress testing for strategic decisions.
Strategic & Commercial Analysis
- Conduct market sizing, pricing analysis, and cost structure reviews.
- Assess profitability by product, customer, or business line.
- Support management in strategic initiatives, expansion plans, and new business launches.
- Analyze working capital, cash flow, and capital structure.
Stakeholder & Management Support
- Present financial insights clearly to senior management, investors, and clients.
- Support negotiations by providing financial implications and valuation impact.
- Assist in preparing board-level and investment committee presentations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
- CFA destination is highly preferred
- FP&A or financial modeling certifications are an advantage
Experience
- 12 years of experience in Financial Advisory, Investment analysis or FP&A
- Hands-on experience in financial modeling and business planning
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel financial modeling
- Strong understanding of:
- Valuation techniques (DCF, multiples, RI & NAV)
- Financial statements
- Budgeting & forecasting
- PowerPoint for professional investment presentations
