Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Area: Finance Department

Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Summary:

The primary focus of the role is to prepare regular financial reports and analysis for individual companies and/or consolidated group with regards to P&L and Balance Sheet. Successful candidate will work with large data sets and provide structured reporting and analysis to support sound business decision-making. He or she will also work closely with Finance/Operations Managers in executing key finance & business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare regular financial and operational reports and dashboards for business and operations management.
  • Supporting monthly P&L preparation and delivering robust P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, timely insight into operational performance, and timely advice on variances, trends, and corrective actions to be taken.
  • Managing ledger accounts associated with the project cost. Analysing and reconciling cost accruals and work-in-progress with project plans on the monthly basis.
  • Supporting payroll processing and preparing employee loan account reconciliation with payroll. Employee and corporate expense reporting and variance and trend analyses.
  • Analysing balances in revenue accrual & advanced billing accounts every month. Supporting A/R and collection reporting.
  • Accounting for Vendor invoices based on the shipments received. Matching commercial invoice with shipping invoices and processing payments to vendors. Vendor accounts reconciliation.
  • Preparing periodical bank reconciliation of all Collection Accounts, processing adjustment entries and following up on pending transmittals. Follow up of bank reconciliation statements from the branches.
  • Supporting corporate and strategic initiatives planning. Assisting in the annual planning process by providing financial analysis, data validation, and cost projections. Monitor variances between actual and budgeted financial performance, investigating and providing insights on key drivers.

  • Well versed in Accounting & Financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Proficient user of MS Office suite.

Qualifications & Education:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Chartered Account and/or Big4 experience is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of proven experience in an FP&A or similar role.
  • Experience with large scale ERP system (SAP) is desired but not a must.
