Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all finance operations across the UAE and other entities, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely accounting and tax submissions.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, coordinating with external accountants and regional advisors.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee audits, statutory filings, and local financial governance.
• Supervise payroll, benefits, and expense management across the region, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Partner with the Director of Finance on group consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and global reporting activities.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles through detailed financial analysis, cost tracking, and variance reviews.
• Help develop and maintain global finance policies, controls, and reporting standards.
• Maintain accuracy and data integrity in the company's global accounting systems.
• Build regional and global financial models to guide business planning and strategic decisions.
• Deliver financial insights that help teams interpret performance metrics and optimize spending.
• Act as a business partner to cross-functional teams, providing commercial and operational financial support.
• Contribute to pricing, billing, and revenue recognition processes as the organization scales.
• Implement and enhance internal controls, governance, and process standardization across all financial operations.
• Support the rollout of automation and tools that improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Drive continuous process improvements to strengthen financial visibility and performance monitoring.

Required experience:

• 46 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within fintech, payments, or other high-growth tech sectors.
• Strong accounting foundation with knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP and consolidation practices.
• Practical experience managing payroll and compliance across multiple markets (including Singapore preferred).
• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, comfortable collaborating across global teams.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced, evolving settings.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, NetSuite).
