Job Title: Finance Controller Agri Commodities

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller with a strong background in agri-commodities trading, preferably with hands-on exposure in African and other international markets. The role will oversee financial operations, controls, reporting, and compliance for multi-country trading activities for a leading company in the sector. Experience in cocoa trading is a strong added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all financial accounting, reporting, and control functions for agri-commodity trading operations.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and working capital optimization.
- Manage trade finance, including LC structures, pre/post-shipment finance, and banking relationships.
- Ensure accurate accounting of commodity trades, inventories, hedging, and pricing mechanisms.
- Monitor and strengthen internal controls, risk management, and compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Handle multi-currency, multi-entity accounting across Africa and other international markets.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Support senior management with financial analysis, MIS reporting, and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
Required Experience & Qualification
- s10+ years of experience in finance/accounting, with significant exposure to agri-commodities trading
- .Mandatory experience working with African markets and other international trading jurisdictions
- .Strong understanding of commodity trading cycles, trade finance, and supply chain financing
- .Cocoa trading experience is a strong added advantage
- .Professional qualification such as CA
- .Proven experience managing audits, financial controls, and statutory reporting
- .Advanced knowledge of IFRS and international accounting standards
