Job Description

Role Overview

The Financial Controller will manage, monitor, and optimize finance structures across the Group's operations particularly within warehousing, fleet management, and other business lines. The role ensures costs are well understood, controlled, and aligned with business performance. This position combines analytical rigor with strategic insight to enhance cost efficiency and financial discipline across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial control frameworks to monitor and manage costs across business lines.
  • Oversee end-to-end financial accounting, reporting, and statutory compliance across logistics and transportation operations.
  • Partner with business controllers to review and challenge cost assumptions and allocations.
  • Coordinate and consolidate cost budgets and forecasts for fixed cost centers.
  • Track cost trends and provide variance analysis versus budget and prior periods.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition for freight, warehousing, last-mile delivery, and contract-based services.
  • Collaborate with operations and procurement to validate spending efficiency and ROI.
  • Monitor and analyze cost drivers such as fuel, fleet maintenance, warehousing, customs duties, port charges, and labor.
  • Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes aligned with operational volumes and capacity planning.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and optimize working capital, including receivables, payables, and inventory.
  • Ensure efficient controls over freight invoicing, demurrage, and vendor settlements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Economics; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • 610 years of experience in cost control, FP&A, or management accounting, ideally in logistics, warehousing, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
  • Proven ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Experience in ERP or BI tools for cost monitoring and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
