Job Summary:
The Finance Director will serve as the senior most financial leader for the region and will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, financial governance, strategic planning, and risk management across the region. The role will ensure alignment with global financial policies while driving financial performance, operational efficiency & sustainable growth. The Finance Director will lead all regional finance teams & functions including financial planning & analysis, accounting, treasury, taxation, compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting, while acting as a strategic partner to regional business leadership. This position plays a critical role in supporting regional expansion, strengthening financial governance, optimizing capital allocation, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Duties & Responsibilities / What You Will Do
- Lead the overall financial strategy for the region aligned with corporate objectives.
- Partner with regional business leaders to drive profitability, growth, and operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support investment decisions, mergers & acquisitions, and market expansion.
- Develop and implement financial policies, frameworks, and best practices consistent with global standards.
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes for the region.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis and corrective actions.
- Deliver timely & accurate financial reporting including monthly, quarterly & annual performance reviews.
- Develop KPI dashboards and financial models to support decision-making.
- Oversee all regional accounting functions ensuring compliance with IFRS and corporate accounting standards.
- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements, consolidation reports, and statutory filings.
- Strengthen financial processes and systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
- Ensure full compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws & requirements across multiple countries.
- Implement robust internal controls and risk management frameworks to protect company assets.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and government authorities when required.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance and audit standards.
- Manage regional cash flow, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
- Optimize working capital and capital allocation across subsidiaries.
- Oversee foreign exchange risk management and funding strategies.
- Manage regional tax planning, VAT compliance, and corporate taxation matters.
- Ensure tax optimization strategies are aligned with international compliance standards.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
- Lead & develop the regional finance organization, ensuring strong financial leadership.
- Build a high-performance finance team through mentoring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and financial discipline.
- Act as a strategic advisor to regional management and business units.
- Provide financial evaluation for major commercial contracts, tenders, and strategic projects.
- Support regional expansion initiatives and new market entry strategies.

Qualifications & Certifications
- Master's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics
- MBA from a recognized international business school is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate should hold internationally recognized finance certifications, such as:
- CPA – Certified Public Accountant
- ACCA – Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
- CA – Chartered Accountant
- CMA – Certified Management Accountant
Candidates with two or more of the above certifications will be strongly preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
- 8–10 years in senior leadership roles (Finance Director / Head of Finance / Regional Finance Leader)
- Proven experience managing multi-country financial operations specially in GCC / Middle East region
- Background in multinational corporations or large regional organizations
- Strong exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Industry experience in energy, electrical equipment, manufacturing, or industrial sectors will be a plus
