About The Role
DNV Maritime China FiS North District is looking for a Surveyor to join its Fleet in Operation Surveyor (FIS) team in Dalian, China North. The position involves conducting surveys and audits on various ship types in compliance with DNV rules, international conventions, regulations, and quality standards. The role requires maintaining strict confidentiality of client information, supervising work, and actively promoting DNV services. Responsibilities include adhering to organizational guidelines and instructions from line management, promptly reporting any issues that could affect the organization's reputation or integrity, and demonstrating strong customer focus by serving as a technical resource and promoting DNV onboard or on-site.

About You
- University degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related fields from a recognized university.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the maritime industry
- Self-disciplined and committed to continuous learning
- Physically fit to perform onboard tasks (e.g., climbing pilot ladders, tank entry, crew boat launches, voyage surveys)
- Proficient in English (speaking and writing)
- Flexible for travel as required
- Available outside normal working hours when necessary
- Ability to work independently on surveys
Preferred / Advantages
- Passed China MSA Surveyor Examination (Group A)
- Experience with newbuilding or fleet in service under IACS member societies
- Strong technical knowledge of class and statutory surveyor responsibilities
- Maritime Management System audit experience
