  • Subordinates: Site Logistics Coordinator, Joinery/Woodworks Specialist, Site Manager(s)
  • Budget: Up to SAR 24k / month - based on experience.
  • Location: Riyadh. Flexible in travelling between Riyadh and Jeddah.

About The Job

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities across all project phases, ensuring alignment with project schedules, quality standards, and resource requirements. This role serves as the operational lead of the Construction Department, translating strategic project inputs into actionable site-level execution plans, managing internal and external labor, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and coordinating closely with technical, procurement, and quality teams to ensure seamless delivery and successful handover of works.

Responsibilities

Administrative and Supervisory Tasks:

  • Manage and supervise the daily performance of team members, guiding them toward achieving departmental objectives and ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
  • Set individual and team-level performance indicators for key work tasks and continuously monitor progress to ensure achievement of departmental objectives.
  • Establish and maintain departmental procedures and internal policies that regulate workflows and contribute to the effective implementation of strategic and operational plans.
  • Propose improvements to existing procedures and policies to enhance operational efficiency and support process optimization.
  • Determine the department's expected costs and contribute to the preparation of the annual departmental budget, in coordination with relevant functions.
  • Set work priorities based on departmental goals, allocate tasks accordingly, and communicate responsibilities clearly to team members.
  • Ensure effective communication and information flow within the department and across other departments to support alignment and coordination.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for team members, discuss results constructively, and recommend appropriate developmental or corrective actions.
  • Monitor and support the department's human resources planning by identifying training needs, facilitating necessary learning and development opportunities, and evaluating impact, in coordination with HR.
  • Participate in the recruitment process by shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and providing recommendations for hiring decisions.
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback to team members to support continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Perform any additional managerial tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor or required by the role.

Technical Tasks

  • Review the approved project plan, WBS, and schedules, focusing on construction-specific tasks and milestones.
  • Analyze and allocate resources based on availability, project needs, and PMO-provided slots, ensuring workforce alignment with the execution plan.
  • Coordinate site mobilization and resource readiness, including workforce deployment and site setup.
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring tasks are executed according to schedule, scope, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely coordination with suppliers and external labor as needed.
  • Supervise progress tracking, productivity measurement, and reporting, including preparation and submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Manage non-conformities and coordinate with Quality Control for inspections, corrections, and preventive actions.
  • Ensure timely execution and follow-up on snag list items, testing, commissioning, and handover requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to support project billing, ensuring completed works are formally documented.
  • Lead site meetings and coordination efforts between technical, procurement, and planning teams to resolve execution challenges.
  • Oversee site documentation including as-built drawings, change requests, and final handover certificates.

Job Qualifications

  • Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or any related field.

  • Practical Qualifications:

A practical experience of no less than 6 to 12 years in construction site management and project execution.

  • Certification/Courses

Construction Project Management, OSHA Safety Standards Course

Languages: Excellent level in Arabic and English language writing, reading, and speaking
