Job Title: Fitness Director
Reports To: COO
Division: Fitness
Role Purpose
The Fitness Director is responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating all aspects of our client, while overseeing the implementation of the organization's fitness development programs.
This role also leads and develops a high-performing, results-driven team to support the organization in achieving its strategic objectives.
Key Account-abilities & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning
Develop and implement the fitness department's strategic vision in alignment with organizational goals, target segments, brand expansion, and technology utilization.
Identify emerging fitness trends and industry innovations relevant to the Saudi market to maintain a competitive advantage.
Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess customer preferences and behaviors, enabling the development of initiatives that attract and retain members.
2. Program Development & Management
Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive range of fitness programs, classes, and services.
Establish standardized processes and quality standards for fitness assessments and consultations.
Collaborate with trainers, instructors, and staff to continuously enhance existing programs and introduce new offerings.
3. Staff Management & Development
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate fitness staff, including trainers, instructors, and support personnel.
Provide continuous coaching and professional development to maintain high performance standards.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
4. Operations & Budgeting
Oversee daily fitness operations, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, inventory, and facility standards.
Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control in coordination with Branch, Assistant, and Area Managers.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve operational efficiency.
5. Member & Client Relations
Ensure exceptional customer service across all fitness activities by implementing structured feedback systems.
Collect and analyze member feedback to identify improvement areas.
Utilize data analytics and corrective actions to address concerns promptly and enhance member satisfaction.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to drive engagement through programs, events, and promotions aligned with brand strategy.
6. Monitoring & Quality Control
Establish and continuously improve operational procedures, service standards, and performance metrics.
Implement reporting systems, dashboards, and monitoring tools to ensure compliance with standards.
Conduct regular audits, service assessments, and reviews for quality assurance and reporting.
Requirements for the Role
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
10–12 years of experience in the fitness industry, including managerial roles.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong customer service orientation with a deep understanding of service excellence in fitness environments.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Group Fitness Instructor, or Fitness Director certification).
Proven experience managing fitness programs and teams.
Strong knowledge of fitness trends, exercise science, and program design.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with members, clients, and staff.
Experience in developing and implementing procedures, standards, and quality controls.
