About the Job

An opportunity has risen at Saadiyat Beach Club for Food and Beverage Manager. The position is for the short- and long-term planning and management of Food & Beverage operations within the beach club, covering both front-of-house and back-of-house areas. The role ensures exceptional guest satisfaction, high-quality service standards, and the achievement of financial targets. It involves overseeing all beach club dining experiences, including restaurants, bars, poolside and beachfront service, private events, and catering operations. The position requires maintaining efficiency, professionalism, and diplomacy when handling all Food & Beverage matters, ensuring the beach club's reputation and brand image are consistently upheld.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
  • Controls costs of all Food and Beverage outlets by assisting management, as requested, in purchasing, maintaining effective profit and loss controls, and monitoring labor costs following demand patterns, and budget.
  • Assists in the development of ideas and the increased department sales of Food and Beverage to improve productivity
  • Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
  • Design exceptional menus, purchase goods, and continuously make necessary improvements
  • Assists in the coordination of special promotions and provides the administrative support necessary
  • Identify customers needs and respond proactively to all their concerns
  • Lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel
  • Participates in training and development programs to improve personal or departmental standards liaising with the Training Manager
  • Establish targets, KPIs, schedules, policies, and procedures
  • Provide two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with an emphasis on motivation and teamwork
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations, HACCP
  • Interacts with the management of another department within areas of responsibility and develops solid working relationships with them
  • Assist Outlet Managers to monitor their tasks and objectives.
  • To assist in the training and development of Outlet Managers so that they can operate independently with their profit center
  • Carries out an efficient leadership style using appraisals and Performance Management as main tools
  • Deputizes in the absence of the Director of Food and Beverage.

The ideal candidate for this position will display the following attributes:

  • You should be a College/University Degree Graduate in Hospitality Management or related field with a minimum of two years experience in a similar role with preferable previous experiences in the Middle East.
  • Proven Food and Beverage management experience
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, Restaurant Management Software, POS)
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Up to date with Food and Beverage trends and best practices
  • Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
  • Guest-oriented and service-minded
