FMCG Operator (Coffee Roasting & Production)
Technical & Production Skills- Coffee Roasting Knowledge: Basic understanding of roasting profiles, bean varieties, and quality control standards.
- FMCG Operations: Experience in fast-moving consumer goods production lines, packaging, and inventory handling.
- Machine Operation: Ability to operate roasting machines, grinders, sealing/packaging equipment, and perform routine maintenance.
- Quality Assurance: Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP) and ability to conduct visual and sensory checks.
- Process Optimization: Skills in monitoring batch consistency, minimizing waste, and improving throughput.
Logistics & Supply Chain- Inventory Management: Tracking raw beans, roasted stock, and packaging materials.
- Warehouse Handling: Safe storage practices, FIFO/LIFO methods, and basic ERP or POS systems.
- Distribution Readiness: Understanding of FMCG supply chain timelines and coordination with delivery teams.
Health, Safety & Compliance- Food Safety Awareness: Knowledge of hygiene protocols, allergen handling, and contamination prevention.
- Workplace Safety: Ability to follow safety procedures around heat, machinery, and heavy lifting.
- Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with local food production regulations in Kuwait/GCC markets.
Soft Skills- Attention to Detail: Precision in roasting times, packaging weights, and labeling accuracy.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work in small startup teams with cross-functional roles.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving: Quick response to machine errors, supply delays, or quality issues.
- Communication: Clear reporting of production metrics and issues to supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience in coffee roasting, FMCG production, or food manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing or Kaizen practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo) for production tracking.
- Certification in food safety or machine operation is a plus.
