About the Role
A career in our Forensics team offers the opportunity to help identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to manage the identified fraud risks. We work to prevent, respond to, and remediate a wide range of business threats, risks, and complex issues. The primary purpose of this role is to support the organization in identifying, investigating, and mitigating financial fraud and other irregularities. This role plays a critical part in identifying vulnerabilities within the organization, developing risk management strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, while consistently reflecting Landmark's core values: LEAD with integrity- Listen, Empower, Adapt, and Deliver.
Responsibilities
Forensic reviews
- Managing complex fraud investigation across Landmark Group.
- Conduct investigations of suspected/ alleged frauds as per standard investigation methodologies.
- Work closely with Senior Manager in undertaking investigations to gather forensic evidence, conduct data analytics, in-depth reviews, and produce investigative findings.
- Maintain continuous and close collaboration with other team members to ensure seamless and effective communication/ inputs throughout all phases of the projects.
- Manage outsourced business partners by directing, supervising, and reviewing investigations undertaken by them, including validation of findings and reporting quality.
- Assisting General Manager and Head - Forensics in undertaking interviews by preparing Interview strategies, Interview files, etc.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports, Senior Management Updates, Audit Committee Presentations - outlining findings, conclusions, and remedial action plan.
Risk assessments and mitigation
- Identify vulnerabilities that created fraud opportunities within the organization.
- Undertake proactive risk assessments, process reviews, and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate the identified risks and prevent future occurrences.
Dispute assistance
- Work closely with the Business and other teams to take appropriate actions on identified fraud cases.
- Collaborate with legal teams and external advisors to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively.
Culture building
- Fostering ethical culture within the organization by assisting General Manager and Head - Forensics in providing training, conducting workshops, Townhalls and roadshows.
Technology expertise
- Demonstrate proficiency in leading forensic eDiscovery tools such as Intella, Relativity, or other industry-standard software.
- Demonstrate the ability to review and analyze complex data, including proficiency in data analytics applications such as MS Excel, MS Access, and IDEA.
- Knowledge of statistical platforms such as Python, R, SAS would be an added advantage.
- Utilize the tools to conduct forensic audits and proactive fraud reviews, tailored to specific case requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong academic record, including a degree and a relevant accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA.
- Post qualification experience of 8+ years in Forensics Investigations Line of Services.
- Investigation experience of retail industry would be an added advantage.
- Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Experience in effectively managing complex investigations.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Effective presentation skills.
