Forward Deployed Engineer

We're looking for a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers, taking AI solutions from initial discovery and prototyping through to full production deployment.

This is a customer-facing engineering role where you'll build production-grade AI applications, solve complex technical problems, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business impact. Regional travel of up to 50% is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery from discovery to production rollout.
• Design, build, and deploy full-stack AI applications using modern engineering practices.
• Work closely with customer engineering teams to understand requirements and drive adoption.
• Scope projects, manage technical priorities, and remove delivery blockers.
• Balance speed, quality, and technical trade-offs throughout implementation.
• Contribute directly to the codebase where needed.
• Create reusable tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve future deployments.
• Provide product and engineering feedback based on real-world customer use cases.

Requirements

• 3–11 years of experience in full-stack software engineering or technical deployment.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying production AI/LLM applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience building 0-to-1 products or production systems.
• At least 1–2 years in a customer-facing technical role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, or Customer-Facing Data Scientist.
• Experience working at AI-focused startups or organisations building LLM/ML products. Big Tech experience is also valued if combined with startup or greenfield product experience.
• Founding engineers or startup co-founders are highly regarded.
• Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related technical discipline.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across Southeast Asia and Australia.
