Job Description

The Foundation Testing Manager is responsible to provide overall management of deep foundation testing group, primarily focused on Osterberg Cell testing, within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia including development of new country markets and introduction of existing Fugro deep foundation testing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:


Direct, monitor and maintain the operations and activities of the Business unit to achieve financial targets including profitability, cash collection and growth.
Implementation of the highest practicable standards of Health, Safety and Environmental Performance and maintenance of the Management Systems to ensure compliance with appropriate International Standards.
Introduction of new techniques to grow the portfolio of deep foundation testing capabilities.
Business Development and Client Relationship Management.
Sales and marketing visits to key clients.
Tender/Proposal preparation and close monitoring of project execution to optimize profitability and maximize client satisfaction with visits to the site from time to time.
Managing and executing all the site activities within the operations zone of the company for all shore, near-shore, and offshore-related foundation testing services.
Managing project financials & commercials for the efficient project runs.
Preparation of methods and technical documents for the foundation testing services as per the project requirements.
Performing analysis and preparation of test reports based on the results of foundation testing.
Procurements as per the project requirements and resources management w.r.t business services.
Managing with the business unit vendors for the required deliverables.
Preparation of payment invoices in line with the commercial department with all the relevant and supporting documents for the completed project works.
Preparation and updating of the project document template for engineering and technical works within the service region.
Ensure the continual development of employees technical, commercial and project management skills.
Maintain service quality and client satisfaction.
Develop and implement procedures to achieve continual improvement in risk management standards.
Liaison with other Fugro OpCo managers in the region to realize market potential in their territory.
Preparation of technical papers, attendance at regional conferences expositions and seminars.
Alternative value-engineered pile designs for clients and technical review of all work executed within the region.
Act as a role model for excellence, exceptionalism, quality, professionalism and teamwork.

Qualifications:


Preferably Post graduate degree or equivalent in civil engineering, or cognate subject.

Skills/experience required to do the job:

A minimum of 10 years experience in the Ground Engineering profession of which at least 2 have been in a position of responsibility for a business unit.
Good general understanding of accounting, finance, legal, commercial and human resource management.
Strong grasp of construction contract forms and principles.
Numerate and computer literate including Microsoft Office.
Strong grasp of deep foundation design principles.
