What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee domestic and international freight operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
- Negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, and transport vendors to get the best deals without sacrificing service
- Manage shipping schedules, customs requirements, and compliance across borders
- Optimize freight routes and modes (road, rail, and sea)
- Monitor carrier performance and troubleshoot issues before they become problems
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and inventory teams to streamline logistics
- Analyze freight data and generate reports to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Keep on top of trade regulations, tariffs, and documentation requirements
What You Bring to the Table:
- 6+ years of experience in freight, logistics, or supply chain management
- Deep knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Experience with freight management systems and ERP platforms
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities (you make juggling look easy)
- Familiarity with customs, import/export laws, and trade compliance
- Cool head under pressure and sharp eye for detail
