Job Title: Full-Time Faculty - English Foundation Program Instructor

Classification: Faculty (Institutional Support)
Reports To: Dean, School of Arts and Sciences
Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait

Job Purpose
American International University (AIU) is seeking a full-time English Foundation Program Instructor for immediate start in the 2025-2026 academic year. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality English instruction, support student learning, and contribute to AIU's mission of fostering academic excellence and student success in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
. Teach a full-time faculty course load in the English Foundation Program
. Prepare and deliver lessons that build students reading, writing, speaking, and listening proficiency
. Provide mentorship, feedback, and academic advising to students
. Contribute to curriculum design and ongoing program improvement
. Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development, and university-wide initiatives
. Promote student engagement and academic integrity across the program

Required Skills and Qualifications
. Strong communication and instructional skills in English (language of instruction is English)
. Demonstrated ability to teach English for academic and general purposes
. Commitment to student learning, engagement, and development
. Ability to collaborate with diverse faculty and student populations
. Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems

Education and Experience
. Master's degree or higher in English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field preferred
. University-level teaching experience preferred
. Industry or practical experience related to language instruction advantageous
