Job Title: General Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our real estate business in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with UAE regulations, and support financial decision-making through proper bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with company policies and UAE financial regulations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor general ledger activities and ensure correct account postings.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage invoicing, collections, and payment processing.
- Monitor receivables from tenants, property buyers, and other stakeholders.
- Process vendor payments and maintain proper documentation.
Bank & Account Reconciliation
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and balance sheet accounts.
Real Estate Accounting
- Record property sales transactions, commissions, and rental income.
- Track escrow accounts, deposits, and property-related costs.
- Monitor service charge accounting and property management expenses.
Tax & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations including Federal Tax Authority requirements.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with UAE Value Added Tax regulations.
- Support internal and external audits.
Financial Controls
- Maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures.
- Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
What We Are Looking For
- 35 years of accounting experience - Must have experience in the real estate sector in the UAE.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks ,SAP and ZOHO
- Excellent attention to detail and fast learning abilities.
Must be available to join immediately, ideally with their own residency.
