Job Description:
We are looking for a General Accountant with experience in the construction/contracting field to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will handle daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and support project-related accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and review daily accounting transactions.
- Prepare journal entries, general ledger, and trial balance.
- Follow up on suppliers, subcontractors, and client accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and closing entries.
- Assist in preparing budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Handle taxes, payroll, and governmental requirements when needed.
- Support project accounting, including cost tracking and expense allocation.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proven experience as a General Accountant, preferably in construction/contracting companies.
- 35 years of proven experience in Accounting
- Good knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
