Vacancy: General Insurance Specialist (Commercial Lines)

Role Overview
The General Insurance Specialist will be responsible for managing, structuring, and placing commercial and general insurance risks, working closely with corporate clients, insurers, reinsurers and internal stakeholders. The role requires deep insurance technical knowledge, strong market relationships, and a professional advisory mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end management of general insurance portfolios (Property, Engineering, Casualty, Marine, Liability, Specialty Risks, etc.).
- Structure insurance programs including coverage analysis, limits, deductibles, and policy wording review.
- Liaise directly with UAE insurers, underwriters, and reinsurers for risk placement and negotiations.
- Prepare technical submissions, risk summaries, and coverage gap analyses for corporate clients.
- Ensure full compliance with CBUAE regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and UAE PDPL.
- Support business development teams with technical input and insurer strategy.
- Maintain high standards of client service, retention, and renewal management.
- Coordinate with operations and finance teams for smooth policy issuance and documentation.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in general insurance within a licensed insurance brokerage.
- Strong hands-on experience with commercial / corporate insurance portfolios.
- Proven technical knowledge across multiple general insurance lines.
- Familiarity with CBUAE regulations, broker compliance obligations, and market practices.
- Existing working relationships with UAE insurers and underwriters is a strong advantage.
- Professional insurance qualifications (CII / ACII) preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working with CRM systems, insurer portals, and digital tools.
