General Ledger (GL) Accountant
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing general ledger activities, supporting month-end and year-end closing, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with SOCPA, IFRS, and Saudi regulatory requirements.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a dynamic real estate and property management environment while supporting financial reporting, audits, and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and inventory records.
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Support financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Assist with VAT reporting, ZATCA compliance, and audit requirements.
- Support ERP enhancements and finance process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in General Ledger accounting.
- Experience in Real Estate, Property Management, Mall Leasing, Retail, or Commercial Property sectors.
- Strong knowledge of SOCPA, IFRS, and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, Yardi, MRI, or similar.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CMA certification is preferred.
- Experience in multi-property environments.
- Exposure to Saudi VAT, ZATCA requirements, and external audits.
