The Client and Role:
Our client is a manpower services business which is a part of a large, prestigious holding company based in Abu Dhabi. The business is supplying blue-and white-collar personnel primarily within the construction sector. The client is now looking for a commercially driven and operationally strong General Manager to lead and grow this business. The role is critical in driving revenue growth, sector diversification and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership & Business Growth
- Drive revenue growth through strategic business development and key account expansion
- Identify and penetrate new sectors beyond construction
- Build and execute a clear go-to-market strategy for diversified workforce solutions
- Develop strong relationships with major contractors, developers and corporate clients
Operational Excellence & Delivery
- Oversee end-to-end operations
- Improve efficiency, utilization rates and service delivery standards
- Address existing operational gaps and build scalable systems and structure
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute a growth strategy aligned with objectives
- Lead organizational transformation to support multi-sector expansion
- Build, mentor and structure high-performing commercial and operations teams
- Establish KPI:s and performance metrics across all business functions
Financial and P&L Responsibility
- Full ownership of P&L performance
- Drive profitability, through cost control, pricing strategy, and operational benefits
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
Candidate Qualifications and Background
- Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business etc.)
- Must have experience as a General Manager / Business Unit Head / Operations Director within Manpower supply / workforce solutions / staffing within the construction sector (large-scale operations)
- Exposure to multi-sector workforce solutions (beyond construction) is a strong advantage
- Demonstrated track record of winning new business and growing revenue, not just managing operations
- Regional experience in the Middle East is a must
