General Manager Manufacturing Operations
Location: Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia Industry: Electrical Products Manufacturing (Cables, Generators, Switches, and Related Equipment)
Position Overview
The General Manager will lead and oversee the full manufacturing operations of a wellestablished electrical products manufacturer in the Eastern Province. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring highquality production output, optimizing factory performance, and leading a diverse workforce in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong industrial leadership experience, deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes, and the ability to elevate operational standards in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daytoday factory operations, including production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and HSE.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost control.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Manufacturing Excellence
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to enhance throughput and reduce waste.
- Optimize production planning, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.
People & Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and operational teams.
- Build a performancedriven culture with clear KPIs and accountability.
- Foster a safe, collaborative, and highengagement work environment.
Financial & Strategic Management
- Manage operational budgets, cost controls, and capital expenditure planning.
- Contribute to longterm strategic planning, including capacity expansion and technology upgrades.
- Analyze operational data to support decisionmaking and executive reporting.
Supply Chain & Customer Alignment
- Oversee procurement, inventory management, and logistics to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to align production with customer demand and delivery commitments.
- Support customer audits, technical reviews, and product quality discussions when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field); MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in electrical products manufacturing (cables, generators, switches, or similar) is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in factory management, operational optimization, and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, safety standards, and regulatory compliance in KSA.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage; English proficiency is required.
