We are currently recruiting for a General Trade Sales Manager- FMCG for our client to be based out of their Dubai Office.
Purpose-
The General Trade Head of Sales will oversee the sales operations in the General Trade sector, managing both Van Sales and Presales teams. The role is crucial in driving sales growth, ensuring product availability, and achieving financial targets. The position requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales management, excellent team-building skills, and the ability to strategize and execute sales plans across the UAE.
Responsibility-
Sales and Revenue Management:
- Achieve top-line and bottom-line sales targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share.
- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure targets are met.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage the Van Sales and Presales teams.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the selling skills of the sales teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture through effective leadership and motivational strategies.
Market Distribution and Penetration:
- Ensure market distribution and penetration goals are achieved.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with general trade outlets.
- Implement strategies to increase product availability and visibility in all outlets.
Product Availability and Visibility:
- Ensure that all products are available and visible in the market.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure effective product placement and promotions.
Operational Efficiency:
- Create and optimize journey plans for the sales teams to ensure efficient coverage of all outlets.
- Monitor and analyze sales routes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Financial Management:
- Ensure timely collection of payments from clients.
- Work closely with the finance team to manage credit limits and minimize outstanding receivables.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to respond to market changes and competitive pressures.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
- Ensure effective communication within the sales team and with other departments.
Skills-
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large sales teams.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent strategic planning and organizational abilities.
