Geotechnical Design Engineer for Piling and Shoring

Role Description and Requirements

We are seeking a Geotechnical Design Engineer specializing in Piling and Shoring for a full-time, on-site role located in Dubai. The primary responsibilities include designing and analyzing piling and shoring projects and tenders, preparing technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, to deliver high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. Additional responsibilities include conducting site visits, supervising implementations, and providing technical recommendations to resolve challenges.

-Design of piling systems including:

• Bored piles
• Driven piles
• Micro piles
• Sheet piles

-Design of Shoring / earth retaining systems such as:

• Secant / contiguous pile walls
• Soldier pile walls
• Anchors & struts
• Diaphragm walls

-Carry out geotechnical analysis for deep excavations and foundation works

-Preparation of design calculations, technical drawings, and reports

-Coordination with structural consultants and site teams

-Review of shop drawings and method statements

-Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality / Trakhees / RTA standards

-Provide technical support during project execution stage

Qualifications

• Valid Piling and Foundation DM License
• Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design to develop innovative and effective piling and shoring solutions.
• Experience with design tools software for preparing and modifying technical designs and drawings. Such as Plaxis, Wallap, LPile, Geo5, and Prokon.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
