China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC ME) is recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer for Infrastructure Projects with solid experience in excavation support and earth
retention systems, including sheet piles, soldier piles, and interlocking piles. The successful
candidate will be responsible for preparing geotechnical designs for deep excavations, reviewing
drawings produced by the drafting team, and providing technical support for tender submissions and project execution. The role requires strong knowledge of geotechnical design principles, local
regulations, and construction safety standards.
Requirements:
• Develop detailed designs and calculations for excavation support systems, including sheet
piles, soldier piles, interlocking piles, and braced excavations.
• Conduct soil-structure interaction analyses, retaining wall stability assessments, and
settlement predictions.
• Ensure designs comply with project requirements, UAE codes, and international standards
(BS, Eurocodes, ASTM, etc.).
• Prepare geotechnical input for technical proposals and tender submissions.
• Provide expert guidance on excavation methods, shoring systems, and temporary works
solutions.
• Review geotechnical specifications and collaborate with the project team to propose safe,
efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
• Support site teams in implementing excavation support systems according to approved
designs.
• Provide technical advice for construction challenges, design modifications, or unforeseen soil
conditions.
• Prepare geotechnical design reports, method statements, risk assessments, and all
necessary documentation for client or authority approval.
• Maintain records of design assumptions, calculation notes, and correspondence related to
geotechnical work.
