Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design of structures using specialised software and engineering calculations.
  • Analyse soil parameters and assess the stability of structures under both normal and seismic conditions.
  • Analyse geotechnical data and prepare Geotechnical Interpretative Reports (GIR).
  • Evaluate geotechnical findings, perform relevant calculations, and prepare data reports for the Manager.
  • Design and analyse ground improvement works and ensure quality control.
  • Analyse and evaluate pre- and post-improvement testing such as CPTU, zone load testing, boreholes, etc.
  • Develop design drawings and technical specifications for construction projects.
  • Plan and conduct geotechnical investigations effectively.
  • Design and supervise site and ground investigation activities.
  • Analyse soil parameters and provide input to dredging production estimators.
  • Review geotechnical designs developed by third-party consultants.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors and team members to ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Review construction design proposals and verify geotechnical components.
  • Ensure correct design approaches in accordance with QA/QC procedures and relevant standards.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Geotechnical, Geology, or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Profound understanding of both theoretical and practical soil and rock mechanics.
  • High level of proficiency in geotechnical design software and analytical tools.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical standards, codes, and guidelines.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in dredging and civil marine projects is highly preferred.
