To support engineering teams by managing and maintaining GIS and CAD data specifically for roads, highways, and bridge projects. The GIS CAD Specialist will ensure accurate spatial data management, mapping, and coordination between GIS and CAD platforms in line with project and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain GIS databases and CAD files related to roads, highways, and bridge projects.
- Prepare and update GIS maps, spatial datasets, and CAD drawings based on project requirements.
- Perform spatial data analysis, data extraction, and data conversion between GIS and CAD platforms.
- Maintain accurate geospatial records, coordinates, alignments, and mapping layers.
- Support project teams by providing mapping outputs and spatial data required for roads and bridge-related works.
- Ensure data accuracy, quality control, and consistency across all GIS and CAD datasets.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to collect, organize, and manage spatial data for roads and bridge projects.
- Maintain proper documentation and archiving of GIS and CAD files in accordance with project standards.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and company standards related to GIS and CAD data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, GIS, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 12 years with a Diploma in GIS/CAD roles.
- Strong experience in roads, highways, and bridge projects (mandatory).
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of geospatial data, coordinate systems, and mapping standards.
- Experience in CAD-GIS integration and spatial data management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large and complex datasets.
