About the Role:
The GL Accountant is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts function, including receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking, and recording accrual, prepaid and provisions
Location: New Cairo / Sokhna
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Manage journal entries and ensure proper coding.
- Input accounting data accurately and swiftly.
- Record information such as accruals, deferrals, and interdepartmental entries.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly and yearly closing processes, including financial analysis and reporting.
- Prepare timely and accurate reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Handle fixed assets transactions, maintain the fixed assets register, and run monthly depreciation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or any relevant field.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable, Receivable, GL, ideally in a similar industry.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- English and Arabic are a must, in addition to prevailing local language.
