Job Description

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Global Manager - Customer Systems Integrations role is to coordinate with operations, sales, IT, clients and their 3rd parties, to effectively integrate client's operating and/or visibility systems to the DP World tech platforms.

Key Accountabilities:

TheGlobal Manager - Customer Systems Integrations, Freight Forwarding is responsible for leading and overseeing the successful integration of systems between DP World Logistics and new and existing customers. This role ensures that customer's integration requirements are thoroughly understood, documented and met through strategic planning, coordination, and execution of system integration projects. The director collaborates with cross-functional teams, including commercial, product, operations, IT, and other internal functions, to deliver seamless, efficient, and high-quality solutions to our customers.

System Integration Management:

  • Foster client dependencies through system capabilities including but not limited to Order Management, EDI and API integrations, linkage of operations systems, custom reporting, and web-based dashboard development
  • Analyse data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
  • Plan and implement supply chain system integration projects.
  • Develop requirements and global standards for system integrations
  • Liaise with other internal functions to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
  • Collaborate directly with IT and Operational professionals to implement effective and efficient solutions
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being adequately documented and met.
  • Support Sales in acquiring new customers with business expertise when it comes to system integrations
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
  • Use and create client analytics to identify improvements and efficiencies with regards to system integrations
  • Perform root cause analyses for customer challenges present and oversee the execution of timely logic-based resolutions
  • When necessary, travel to visit accounts/account sites and branches to review procedures and maintain customer information/satisfaction
  • Continuously focus on penetrating other areas of the business for additional support and to uncover additional business opportunities
  • Ensure all company policies and regulatory requirements are adhered to

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in system integrations in the logistics industry.
  • Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign and control).
  • Good knowledge of EDI and API standards, protocols, and supply chain visibility applications.
  • Project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects
  • Strong understanding of air and ocean freight operations and regulations.
  • Goal and team driven, good motivator and facilitator to ensure that set targets are achieved.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
