JOB TITLE
Government Relations Lawyer | MAF Retail | Egypt Head Office
ROLE SUMMARY
Assist in controlling the operation license issuance process of all activities that are related to the Government authorities. Supervise and assure that responsibilities are executed in a timely manner, provide the business with efficient reports that highlights opportunities, align with the expansion plan and to avoid illegal obstacles and Support business development investments.
ROLE PROFILE
- Liaising with Municipalities and all government departments in relation to trade shops License/ setting up of new stores etc.
- Develops contacts and relationships with key local/national representatives to create opportunities for protecting the Company and its activities.
- Ability to Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, public, government, and other external stakeholders.
- Follow up all licensed and unlicensed stores approvals.
- Research, monitor, analyze, and evaluate legislation and regulation issues that may have an impact on stores operation license to determine needs for action and recommend action to be taken.
- Maintain formal, collaborative relations between MAF retail (Carrefour) of Government Relations and all governmental entities to ensure coordinated approach on government relations at all levels.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree of law
- Member of the Egyptian lawyers syndicate (Primary or Appeal Degree)
- Minimum 4 years local experience liaising with municipality, government relations, corporate, governorates, civil defense and other government departments for all licensing affairs.
- Good command of English and Arabic both verbal and written
