About role:

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Government Relations Officer to manage and strengthen the organization's engagement with government entities and regulatory authorities in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of KSA government structures, policies, and protocols, and will act as the primary liaison to ensure regulatory compliance, effective advocacy, and alignment with national priorities. This role plays a critical part in supporting business continuity and expansion in the Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all government-related processes, including license applications, renewals, permits, and registrations relevant to express logistics operations.
  • Coordinate and support government inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure uninterrupted business activities.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and Saudi government authorities, ministries, and regulatory bodies.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with local government stakeholders to proactively resolve issues and support business expansion.
  • Monitor and interpret local laws, regulations, and policy changes, advising internal stakeholders on potential impacts.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (HR, Operations, Legal, Compliance) to ensure alignment on regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify risks and implement solutions to avoid delays or compliance challenges.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Saudi National required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 35 years of relevant experience in government relations, public affairs, or regulatory compliance within Saudi Arabia.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally in formal government interactions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Prior experience in logistics, e-commerce, express delivery, or multinational companies is a strong advantage.
