Responsibilities
- Regulatory Liaison: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key government agencies, regulatory authorities, and policymakers in Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East.
- Compliance Fulfillment: Ensure the company's compliance with local regulatory frameworks and promptly address any legal or policy changes that may impact operations.
- Policy Advocacy: Represent the company's interests in government discussions and advocate for a regulatory environment that supports business objectives and digital innovation.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage regulatory challenges and issues, providing favorable solutions to maintain seamless product operations.
- Strategic Advising: Provide guidance to internal teams on regulatory and compliance matters, assisting in navigating the local government landscape to enhance product success.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build partnerships with external stakeholders, including policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to foster positive relations and stay informed about regulatory developments.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or related roles, with a strong focus on the Middle East market. Experience in applying for a payment license is highly preferred.
- Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, government processes, and the digital landscape in Saudi Arabia and/or the Middle East.
- Network: Resourceful connections with relevant regulatory bodies, policymakers, and government authorities in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Arabic is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Relations, Law, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Strategic Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to advise on long-term strategies and regulatory impacts.
