This is a full-time on-site role for a Group Chief Accountant with a retail background located in Cairo, Egypt. The responsibilities include overseeing and managing the accounting operations of the organization, including preparing and analyzing financial statements, monitoring compliance with accounting standards, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping. This role involves coordinating with different departments to manage budgets, supervise audits, and ensure all financial activities align with company goals and regulatory requirements. The Group Chief Accountant will also lead a team of accounting staff, providing guidance and ensuring efficient financial reporting.

• Strong accounting and financial reporting skills, including knowledge of auditing and taxation principles
• Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, planning, and cost control strategies
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems; advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage a team effectively
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity or experience in the retail industry is highly beneficial
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is a strong advantage
• Demonstrated knowledge of local and international financial regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
