About The Role

The Head of AI Operations is responsible for defining and executing the organisation's automation and AI strategy to drive operational excellence, scalability, and measurable business impact. This role will embed AI-first thinking across the group, designing and deploying systems that streamline workflows, improve decision-making, and unlock productivity across HQ and portfolio companies. Acting as a strategic partner to leadership and operational teams, the Head of AI Operations ensures that automation investments are prioritised, measurable, and tightly aligned with company OKRs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Strategy: Develop and execute a group-wide automation and AI roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • AI Enablement: Deploy AI copilots and chat interfaces that enhance productivity in operations, support, marketing, and product teams.
  • Workflow Optimisation: Audit existing processes across HQ and portfolio companies to identify automation opportunities.
  • System Design: Build, integrate, and maintain automations using up to date tools that deliver high impact across all teams.
  • Data Integration: Partner with technical teams to ensure clean data flows and unified visibility across systems.
  • Change Management: Evangelise automation and AI-first thinking across the organisation through training, workshops, and internal comms.
  • ROI & Impact Tracking: Define metrics for success and quantify the business impact of automation initiatives.

What are we looking for

  • 5-10 years of experience in automation, AI implementation, or process engineering.
  • Understanding of SaaS operations and the tech stack that supports us.
  • Sound knowledge of up to date and relevant tools that support automation workflows.
  • Financial Acumen - Strong understanding of how to manage company budgets, prioritise high-impact projects, and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, you know how to move fast and get things done.
  • Strategic mindset: You can understand the broader impact of system and process optimisation and understand how this impacts the broader company OKR's.
  • Communication skills - spent time in western orgs. Ability to influence and educate non-technical stakeholders.
