daa International is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of AOCC to lead the strategic and day-to-day operations of the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC) at Red Sea International Airport one of the world's most innovative and sustainable aviation gateways.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills to ensure seamless passenger journeys, optimal aircraft turnaround, and stakeholder collaboration. The Head of AOCC will also drive the evolution of the AOCC's capabilities, ensuring readiness for future expansion phases and technological advancements, while upholding the airport's world-class service standards and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the AOCC's strategic plan in alignment with airport objectives and growth ambitions.
  • Oversee real-time operations, ensuring optimal resource allocation and smooth coordination between all airport functions.
  • Ensure operational readiness for new facilities, systems, and service launches, including integration into AOCC processes.
  • Establish and monitor AOCC KPIs for operational efficiency, punctuality, passenger service quality, and resilience.
  • Lead post-incident reviews, identifying and implementing preventative measures.
  • Drive a culture of service excellence, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with airlines, ground handlers, air traffic control, security, government agencies, and other airport partners.
  • Champion Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) principles to ensure transparent, data-driven operational decisions.
  • Leverage AOCC systems, the Airport Operational Database (AODB), Resource Management Systems (RMS), and predictive analytics to enhance operational control and forecasting.
  • Identify and implement innovative tools and processes to improve situational awareness and decision-making.
  • Act as the primary operational lead during emergencies, coordinating response activities and communication.
  • Develop, test, and refine contingency plans, resilience exercises, and crisis management protocols.
  • Lead, coach, and develop AOCC staff to ensure high performance, resilience, and alignment with daa values and leadership standards.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-first team culture across all shifts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Project Management qualification highly desirable.
  • 7+ years of experience in Airport Operations, with previous experience in an Airport Control Centre highly desired.
  • Demonstrable experience in people and performance management, with previous experience managing a 24/7 duty team to deliver safe, secure and efficient airport operations.
  • Experienced in key operational areas such as operational control centre management, Crisis management, Airport emergency and security procedures Slot Approval & Capacity Management and Airport control centre systems
  • Excellent understanding and experience of developing of airport operational protocols, SOPs, policies, and published contingencies.
  • Strong understanding with all related legislation including ACI/ICAO and IATA regulations, familiarity with GACA & Other KSA Government Entities regulations desirable.
  • Strong decision-making capability informed and driven by key data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex problems and solutions with clarity.
  • Proven ability to communicate data and information in a manner that can be readily understood by a wide audience of varied experience.
