Simpaisa is looking for a Head of Business Development in Dubai, who will lead the company's growth strategy, drive high-value partnerships, and expand our presence across the UAE and international markets. This senior leadership role requires a commercially driven individual with deep experience in fintech, digital payments, and financial services. You will be responsible for shaping the business development roadmap, managing key client relationships, and guiding a high-performing team to achieve revenue and expansion targets.
Key Responsibilties:
1) Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the business development strategy for the UAE and regional markets.
- Identify market opportunities, evaluate potential partnerships, and define commercial growth plans.
- Set targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the business development function.
2) Partnership and Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients, banks, payment partners, aggregators, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead high-level negotiations, finalize partnerships, and secure long-term commercial agreements.
- Oversee client onboarding, retention strategies, and overall satisfaction.
3) Market Expansion and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging digital payment solutions in the GCC.
- Identify new business segments and propose innovative solutions aligned with company offerings.
- Provide strategic insights to senior management for product and market decisions.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the business development team to achieve departmental goals.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, technology, operations, and compliance teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking forums.
4) Pipeline and Revenue Managment:
- Oversee the full sales cyclefrom lead generation to deal closure.
- Ensure the effective use of CRM tools and lead management systems.
- Prepare and present detailed performance reports, revenue forecasts, and progress updates to the leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 710 years of experience in business development or commercial roles, specifically within fintech, digital payments, financial services, or payment solutions.
- Strong understanding of payment gateways, digital wallets, remittances, settlement flows, and payment channels.
- Proven track record of securing major partnerships and scaling business in the GCC region.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving digital economy.
